Monday 7th July: Eilat

Our day began at Har (mount) Tzfachot, just outside Eilat where we began our 3 hour hike. It was hard work but from the top we could see some breathtaking views over the Red Sea so it was worth the effort!

We had a great time on the hike and bonded as we sang and chatted our way up the mountain.

Following this, we headed to Hof Almog where the group went snorkeling in the Red Sea. The Red Sea has one of the most extensive coral reefs in the world because its so deep(something very rare for a coral reef) and this just added to its beauty.

We then enjoyed beach time and packed lunch on Eilat’s northern beach. We spent time swimming in the sea, sunbathing on the beach and generally enjoying the summer sun of Israel.  After returning to the hotel we had some time to refresh and relax. In the late afternoon we headed to Har Hizkiyahu for a  short hike to an observation point that looks out onto the desert.

In the evening we went to the Ice Mall where we had fun shopping and chilling.

Having had an amazing day we felt exhausted and headed back to the hotel for dinner and bed.
